Structural Engineering Capabilties

 

PKA provides structural engineering services for all types of projects. Using state-of-the-art analysis and design software, structural systems analyses are performed for gravity and lateral load resisting elements for each project to determine the structural systems and materials best suited to the specific project conditions and requirements. Systems are proposed on the basis of project size, geometry, function and architectural requirements. Final recommendations are based on serviceability, constructability and architectural requirements, as well as cost.

PKA’s staff has design and construction experience with a wide variety of structural systems, permitting the evaluation of potential systems without bias. We have the expertise to select, design and detail the best structural system to meet the particular needs of each project, and have particular expertise in the design of tilt-up and post-tensioned concrete structures.
